Robert “Bob” Eugene Gibson, 91, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, born Sunday, March 27, 1927, in Norris City, IL, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Aperion Healthcare in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Bob was a retired United States Postal Carrier. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 319 in East St. Louis, IL and a United States Navy Veteran serving in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his:
- Wife: Patricia, nee Henderson, Gibson
- Parents: Theodore and Mary nee Holleman, Gibson
Surviving are his:
- Brother-in-Law: Robert L. (Sharon) Henderson of Fairview Heights, IL
- 2 Nephews
- Paul Henderson of Centralia, IL
- John Henderson of Arkansas City, KS
- Niece: Kelly Henderson of Fairview Heights, IL
Memorials: Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
Visitation: Visitation from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, December 28, 2018 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Rev. Doug Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
